PRODUCT DETAILS
The Mestric M6064 features an Alder body paired with a Maple neck and Rosewood fingerboard. Its 21‑fret, 9.5" radius board is fitted with jumbo Jescar 51118‑S stainless‑steel frets, precision‑levelled on our PLEK machine and then perfected by hand for an exceptionally smooth, fast playing surface. The bone nut is also cut in the PLEK to match the fretwork and the factory‑installed 10–46 gauge strings with exacting accuracy.
Pickups and Electronics
The M6064PS pickup set is hand‑wound in‑house and built around Alnico V magnets, Formvar wire, and full wax potting to reduce microphonic feedback. These pickups deliver a clear, full voice with a wide dynamic and frequency range—hi‑fi in detail without ever becoming brittle. The top end remains articulate and sparkling, pairing beautifully with the installed paper‑in‑oil tone capacitor. Positions 2 and 4 benefit from reduced single‑coil hum thanks to the reverse‑wired, reverse‑polarity middle pickup.
The electronics are completed with a CRL vintage‑style 5‑way selector switch, DiMarzio 250k pots, and push‑back cloth wiring throughout. The output jack is supplied by Switchcraft for long‑term reliability.
Finish and Hardware
Every Mestric Guitar is finished in nitrocellulose lacquer and heavily aged to evoke decades of real‑world playing—sweat, smoke‑filled rooms, knocks, wear, and the natural grime that builds up over a lifetime. The finish is cracked, worn, and authentically played‑in, not only looking old but feeling like an instrument that has been loved for 60–70 years.
All hardware is high‑quality Gotoh, meticulously hand‑aged in our Port Macquarie workshop alongside the plastics, screws, and pickup covers. Each guitar receives extensive individual attention to achieve its own distinct character. Rather than direct replicas of vintage instruments, we view these guitars as standalone artworks—true to their inspiration, yet unique in their identity.

Care Guide
Your new Mestric Guitar has been built to play, sound, and feel like an old friend that’s been with you for decades. While it draws inspiration from the great vintage instruments of the 1950s and ’60s, it’s designed with modern reliability and playability in mind. Each guitar is crafted with a unique, stylised aesthetic—treated more like a piece of art than a strict vintage replica. The weathered finish and patina will continue to evolve as you play, gradually reflecting your own patterns of wear. In that sense, you’ll be adding the final brushstrokes to your own instrument.
Caring for the Finish
Like a well‑worn 60–70‑year‑old nitrocellulose finish, the patina on your Mestric Guitar needs a bit of mindful care. After heavy playing or sweating, the surface may feel slightly tacky—this is normal and part of the vintage character. We recommend avoiding polishes, cleaners, or frequent wiping. Let the finish age naturally. Areas that contact your body will gradually polish on their own, enhancing the realism and personality of the instrument. A little grime won’t hurt it; in fact, it only makes the guitar look better over time. Treat it like the living artwork it is—and play it hard.
Stringing and Tuning Stability
Because we omit the traditional string tree on the B and high E strings, we recommend winding the strings so the wraps travel as far down the tuner post as possible. This increases the break angle over the nut and improves pressure and tone. Doing the same on the G string can also be beneficial. Removing the string tree helps tuning stability when using the tremolo system, and the additional winds compensate for the reduced downward force at the nut.
