This 2021 Fender American Professional II Telecaster Deluxe in Mercury was originally sold through our store in 2022. It was returned in 2023 due to a continually failing pickup which the manufacturer was unable to replace in a timely manner. It has been in our store room in its original hard case ever since. We decided we wanted to do something special with it rather than just replace the faulty pickup. So we went all-in and have heavily modified and vastly improved the guitar with the following Adam Jones of Tool-Inspired features and aesthetics:
- Removed original frets and replaned the fingerboard to 12" from 9.5" on the PLEK Machine.
- Installed Jescar 2.99mm Stainless Steel Frets. Full PLEK fret dress.
- Removed original nut and installed a new Bone Nut also cut on our PLEK and finished by hand.
- Removed original Fender pickups and wiring harness and installed brand new Seymour Duncan Pots and a Seymour Duncan '59 Humbucker in the neck position and a Seymour Duncan Trembucker JB in the bridge position.
- Brand new Original Gibson Black Speed Knobs.
- Brand new Fender fully internatable brass saddle set.
- Replaced pickguard screws with Stainless Steel screws.
- Setup for 10-52 strings.
Includes Factory Fender Hard Case. As this is a refurbished unit and in excellent condition, it does show some minor wear on the pickguard and on the neck plate and screws. We are offering a 90-day warranty on this guitar due to being refurbished. Our standard Return Policy applies.
